Question 1

Can I edit text in an image?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A normal PNG or JPG has no text layer — the letters are just pixels — so text cannot be edited the way it can in a PDF or a design file. This tool works around that by regenerating the selected pixels with the new wording, matched to the surrounding typeface, size, colour and background.

Question 2

How do I change a word in a picture without Photoshop?

Accepted Answer

Drag a box around the word, type what it should say instead, and apply. Only the pixels inside your box change; the rest of the image is returned untouched, so there is no visible patch or seam around the edit.

Question 3

Will the new text match the original font?

Accepted Answer

The model is given the area around your selection as a style reference and instructed to match typeface, weight, slant, letter height, spacing, colour, anti-aliasing and baseline. It matches closely on clean, reasonably large text; very small or heavily textured type is harder.

Question 4

Why did it change a word I did not select?

Accepted Answer

Because that word was inside the box. Everything within the selection can be redrawn, so a box that overlaps the next word will often rewrite it as well. Draw tightly around only the words you are changing — the selection is automatically trimmed to the text inside it, but it can only trim away blank space, not a neighbour’s letters.

Question 5

Is the AI editor free?

Accepted Answer

No — the AI edit is the one paid feature, because each edit costs real money to run. Every other tool on the site is free and unlimited.
